Definitely a souvenir for your little princess, but be prepared to pay good money for the right one. The best place to shop for such items is any good souvenir shops or if you want the real thing then head to Maty close to Puerta del Sol.
Paella Ingredients
Okay you’ll have to wait until you get home to make your own. It is possible to have a go at trying to make an authentic Paella without having to buy each of the seasoning separately. Every store sells Paellero, a box containing the spice mix for creating this amazing dish. If you have the room you may want to consider investing in a proper Paella pan (paellera).

If visited Madrid in the summer it gets hot, really hot. One of the best ways to help you stay cool is by busting out a fan. As well as being great whilst in the city will prove an amazing keepsake to take home. A basic one is great that you’ll find in any tourist shop. But for something a little more special head either to El Rastro or visit Casa Diego. You’ll find this store located on Puerta del Sol.
Alpargatas
These are the shoes of choice for a great many Spaniards during the summer months. Originally worn by farmers, peasants and soldiers during the 14th Century, now they have become mainstream. As well as coming a variety of different styles and colours, they are affordable. A good pair will often only cost around 10 Euros.

Olive Oil

If you thought Italy was the main producing of olive oil, then think again. Spain is in fact the main producer of most of the world’s olive oil today. But be prepared to pay lots for this item. The best place to buy this particular souvenir is either Patrimono Comunal Olivero or La Chinata. But remember to ensure that the size of bottle you buy is one that you are allowed to take back on your flight.
Sweets
When you visit Madrid you’ll find yourself spoilt for choice when it comes to bringing home sweets. One particular sweet treat you should make sure you have room for in your suitcase is Violetas. These little candies are often shaped and coloured to look like the violet flower, and in some cases flavoured like them. The best place to purchase yours are in a store close to Puerta del Sol called Bombones de Violeta. The perfect gift to bring home to friends and loved ones.
Real Madrid Kit
If there is someone you know that is an avid football fan then buying them even just a scarf would certainly make their day.
