Penélope Cruz
Perhaps one of the most famous celebrities from our list, Penélope Cruz is a famous Spanish actress that rose to international fame. She has worked in over 70 movies, having even written a directed a couple as well, two video shorts “L’Agent” and “L’Agent by Provocateur”, and a documentary called “Yo soy un entre cien mil”, which talks about leukemia in children. She has starred opposite a number of famous actors, such as Johnny Depp, in “Pirates of the Caribbean – On strange tides”, Scarlet Johansson, in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”, and Salma Hayek in “Bandidas”. Penélope has also acted opposite her husband, the Spanish actor Javier Bardem.

Elsa Pataky
This Spanish actress of Romanian and Hungarian descent is most famously known for being the gorgeous wife of Australian actor Chris Hemsworth. Her attractive features have granted her work not only as an actress but also as a model. On the big screen, she has acted opposite Vin Diesel in the “Fast & Furious” series, Samuel L. Jackson in “Snakes on a plane”, having also participated in a number os Spanish projects for both cinema and TV.
Belén Rueda
Another great actress to have been born in the Spanish capital is Belén Rueda. She has mainly worked in Spanish productions, having acted in such films as “El Orfanato”, directed by J.A. Bayona, for which she won awards, “Los ojos de Julia”, directed by Guillem Morales, which earned her a handful of nominations for best actress, and a large number of TV shows, in which she played leading roles.

Clara Lago
Clara Lago is a petite Madrilenian actress which rose to fame with such blockbusters as “Ocho Apellidos Vascos”, which was a roaring success in Spain, sparking a sequel called “Ocho Apellidos Catalanes”. She started her career with parts in a variety of TV shows, eventually graduating to the big screen. She has worked alongside Matthew Fox in “Extinction”, Lisa Kudrow in “Web Therapy”, Noah Wyle in “The Librarian”, and is set to appear in the upcoming film “The Commuter”, starring Liam Neeson.
