The park was inaugurated on May 4, 2007, and it has a surface of 10.41 hectares. It is divided into several different areas and themes, and it is a perfect place to relax.

The park’s design of the rest area (called Jardín del Sol y el Agua) revolves around  Plaza del Reloj de Sol, and focuses on canals, tracks and plants and trees.

There are a lot of traditional, Mediterranean plant species, like olive trees, vines and fruit trees, combined with other, more modern plants.

The area called Jardines Mediterráneos represents the historical evolution of Mediterranean gardening.

This part of the park includes Jardín de Oriente Próximo (Garden from the Middle East), Jardín Medieval (Medieval Gardens), Jardín Árabe (Arab Gardens), El Palmeral (Palm Grove) and El Paraíso (Paradise).
