Living in Madrid has certain advantages. You could, for example, go to the park in the middle of the neighbourhood and take some time to relax. Renting your next apartment in Valdebebas-Valdefuentes is therefore a great idea if you want to explore the city.

Valdefuentes is one of the neighbourhoods in the district of Hortaleza, in Madrid’s northeast. Once an industrial neighbourhood, it is now home to various residential buildings. Valdefuentes can easily be accessed by car, as it is close to highway A-1, motorways M-40, M-12 and M-11, and ring road R-2.

Valdebebas-Valdefuentes is an exclusive part of Madrid, and it is far from the city centre. It has a large number of green areas though, and you can even spend some time at the golf course of Real Club La Moraleja Campo 2. This is an 18 holes golf course, the perfect place to unwind at the end of a long day at work.

What to see in the neighbourhood of Valdebebas-Valdefuentes in Madrid

An interesting place to visit in Valdebebas-Valdefuentes is Parque Forestal de Valdebebas.

This park was created on what used to be the Las Cárcavas landfill, which was Madrid’s largest (and illegal) landfill in the 1990s. The park’s borders are ringroad R-2, the urbanization of La Moraleja and El Encinar in the north; motorway M-11 and Ifema in the south; the urban development of Valdebebas in the east; and motorway M-40 and the urban development of Sanchinarro in the west.

The design of the park is inspired by the image of a large tree, which can be seen from up in the air. You can see five different types of ecosystems from the Iberian Peninsula: Sistema Ibérico, Montes de Toledo, Sistema Central, La Alcarria and La Mancha.

There are more than 206,000 trees and 183,000 bushes in this park, and it includes a river area, an arboretum, agricultural zones, a labyrinth, natural wetlands, playgrounds and cycling and walking trails.
